About Me
Some Things That I Think Are Pertinent
I am a 33 year old man living and working in New York City. In August of 2006 I started as the staff Master Electrician and Technical Director for one of the lighting design firms in the city. Before that, I did the same job, only I freelanced. I work on lighting for theatre, television studios, industrial and corporate events, fashion shows and high end parties. Sometimes I am fortunate enough to be able to travel for work.
I have lived in NYC for 13 years, and before that I lived all over New York State. In addition to nearly all aspects of technical theatre, I've worked as a supermarket clerk, as a guide and security for a small art gallery, as a photographer's assistant, as a cook, a dishwasher, a farm hand, in an ice cream factory, and at a crisis intervention hotline.
I am divorced.
When I'm not working for a living, I cook, make cheese, brew beer and mead, and grow whatever herbs I can coax into life in my apartment.
I love to take things apart and figure out how they work.
Most of the time I can even get them back together.
